Huun Huur Tu's latest album, Malerija, is a masterful blend of traditional Tuvan music and modern influences. The group's signature throat singing is as haunting and mesmerizing as ever, but the addition of electric guitar, percussion, and other instruments gives the music a new depth and dimension.

The album opens with "Kozhamyk," a lively and upbeat track that showcases the band's skillful use of traditional Tuvan instruments like the igil and doshpuluur. "Orphan's Lament" is a more somber piece that highlights the group's exquisite harmonies and rich vocal textures.

Other standout tracks include "Saryglarlar," with its driving rhythm and intricate vocal arrangements, and "Boz Elden," a hauntingly beautiful song featuring a guest appearance by the Bulgarian Voices Angelite choir.
